A Blast From The Past…….

The other day we had an amazing box of goodies sent ……. Soreen you remember the yummy chewy loaf which is a devil to cut and is lovely just buttered or toasted – it always makes me think of my Nana Queenie and having it on Saturday afternoons while watching the wrestling on TV with her for a very glamorous woman (she always wore peep toe sling backs regardless of the weather) she loved her wrestling.

For some reason I had forgotten how comforting it is due to the taste and the unique texture –Soreen have updated and expanded the range and they sent the loaf but also some mini loaves with a banana mixture – they are called lunch box loaves  and perfect for having as a snack – the whole range has expanded, they even do a sliced loaf plus cinnamon and raisin – I’m back hooked on Soreen again.

Besides my forage in Debenhams this week I have also been online shopping and found L ‘Wren Scott dresses – years ago I saw her clothes in Dover Street Market and liked them but thought they were not really practical just aesthetically beautiful and loved her collaboration’s etc but these dresses at Matches are stunning and very wearable plus classic – I love the long lean shape – I’m also a sucker for bright’s especially turquoise and I found some fabulous turquoise coloured pieces plus a handbag which so reminds me of Nana Queenie ……..

This is adorable and very much me – my love of animal print comes from my Nana Queenie who always had a faux Ocelot fur coat for winter and a gold raincoat for spring (she didn’t do sensible) – this bag is glamorous but also practical – in black leather it has two top handles, a zipped top closure and a buttoned back pocket with a gold metal logo detail. The bag has gold spikes down each side and a leopard-print calf-hair front pocket with a gold metal studded clasp and zipper fastening.
