Twiggy at M&S….

The thing about M&S everyone has a very vigorous opinion about how it should be run and stocked etc; they have more to say about this company than they do about the country – from the quality of their socks and underwear to the frumpy fashions.

Personally I stopped being a big supporter when they put Lily Cole as the face of Limited Collection and raised the hemlines about 4 inches (no offense Lily) then they tried to woo the 40+ customer with Portfolio which was just frumpy, cheap and nasty ……

I think the final straw was when it was announced they would have Twiggy just for internal marketing …….. for goodness sake the woman is a national treasure so after seeing how well Mary P has done and let’s face it all she did was say her range was aimed at this age group and after being shown indifference for years the 40+ clamoured towards her department – someone at M&S must have had a light bulb moment and got Twiggy to design a range.

Yes, I love it as it’s easy wearable and great price point and she has considered the older customer but it’s not frumpy …..
