The New Craftsmen at Selfridges

The New Craftsmen  work with a selection of Britain’s finest craft makers to showcase the skills and craft products of the British Isles. They present objects that are deeply connected to culture and place, while representing a vision of sustainable, real luxury, expressed through dedication to makers, materials, method and design.

At the moment they have a concession and a selection of beautiful items for sale on line, the range of items run from beautiful glassware to key tassels, each piece is unique. I love the quirkiness of this Rain texture large jug made in east London by glass artist Jochen Holz, the jug features a peculiar handle and a wood-like texture on the interior inspired by wooden water pails.

I have fallen in love with the depth of blue on this Night Sky Poster by Laura Carlin the award-winning ceramicist and illustrator.
